Description

Delightfully sweet and creamy Valentine’s Oreo Truffles made with golden Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and a smooth vanilla candy coating, decorated with festive Valentine’s sprinkles. These no-bake treats are easy to prepare and perfect for sharing on special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 3642 golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 20 drops pink food coloring, divided (more or less to adjust color)

Coating and Decoration

  • 16 ounces vanilla candy coating
  • Favorite Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Make Oreo Crumbs: Place 36 Oreo cookies in a food processor or smash in a sealed bag until finely crushed into crumbs.
  2. Combine Mixture: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a mixer or keep in the food processor. Add softened cream cheese and 10 drops of pink food coloring. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Form Truffle Balls: Check consistency; if too thin, add more cookie crumbs. Use a small ice cream scoop, melon baller, or teaspoon to scoop uniform amounts. Roll each scoop between your palms to form a smooth, round ball approximately 1¼ inches in diameter.
  4. Freeze the Balls: Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze while you prepare the candy coating. You should get about 24 truffles.
  5. Melt Candy Coating: Break the vanilla candy coating into pieces and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each, until fully melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted vanilla coating. Gently tap the bottom against the bowl edge to remove excess coating.
  7. Decorate: Place dipped truffles back onto the parchment paper, then immediately sprinkle with your favorite Valentine sprinkles before the coating sets.
  8. Repeat Dipping and Decorating: Continue dipping and decorating the remaining truffles until all are coated.
  9. Set and Serve: Refrigerate the tray of truffles for at least 15 minutes until the coating is firm. Serve the truffles at room temperature for optimal taste and texture. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store Oreo balls in the refrigerator until serving. Though they taste best cold, they can safely remain at room temperature for up to 2 hours due to the cream cheese content.
  • Refrigeration: Store leftover truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Freezing: Freeze truffles for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
