			- 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
 - 1 large onion, chopped
 - 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
 - 5 cloves garlic, minced
 - 3 tablespoons tomato paste
 - 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
 - 1 tablespoon sugar
 - 3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
 - 1/4 cup dry red wine
 - 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
 - 2 cups tomato sauce
 - 2 bay leaves
 - 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
- Brown and Sauté: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Add onion and bell pepper; cook until softened. Stir in garlic, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, pepper, and red wine. Cook until wine evaporates.
 - Simmer: Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. If the sauce becomes too thick, thin it out with beef broth, chicken broth, or pasta water.
 - Season and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Remove bay leaves. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over your favorite pasta, topped with Parmesan cheese.
