- 2 cups self-rising flour, sifted
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 - 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
 - Pinch salt
 
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 egg, beaten
 - 2 tablespoons whole milk, plus more if needed
 
Additional:
- 1/2 cup raisins
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
 - Prepare the dough: Combine flour and butter in a food processor or a large bowl. Add sugar and mix. Mix in spices, salt, egg, and milk until a sticky dough forms.
 - Form the cakes: Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, place heaping spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
 - Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the cakes are golden brown on top.
 - Cool and enjoy: Allow the cakes to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy them plain or with butter/jam.
