Description

These festive Reindeer Brownies are a fun and delicious holiday treat, transforming classic brownies into adorable reindeer faces with pretzel antlers, candy eyes, and red M&M noses. Perfect for holiday parties or as a playful dessert to share with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box of brownie mix
  • Required oil (as per brownie mix instructions)
  • Required water (as per brownie mix instructions)
  • Required eggs (as per brownie mix instructions)

Decorations

  • 16 pretzel twists
  • 16 candy eyes
  • 8 red M&M candies
  • 1 Tablespoon chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven according to the directions on the box of brownie mix. Spray a round springform pan generously with non-stick cooking spray and set it aside.
  2. Mix and Bake Brownies: Prepare the brownie batter following the instructions on the box, using the specified amounts of oil, water, and eggs. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, but no wet batter. This usually takes about 40 minutes. Once done, place the pan on a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Slice Brownies: After the brownies have cooled fully, carefully run a thin knife or rubber spatula around the edge of the springform pan to loosen the brownies before releasing the pan. Use a sharp knife to slice the brownies into 8 equal, pie-like wedges.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  5. Attach Candy Eyes: Using a butter knife, dab a small amount of melted chocolate onto the back of two candy eyes for each brownie slice. Stick them near the top center of each slice to form the reindeer’s eyes.
  6. Add Pretzel Antlers: Spread a little melted chocolate onto the bottoms of two pretzel twists per brownie slice. Affix these to the top corners of each slice to create the reindeer’s antlers.
  7. Place M&M Noses: Put a small dot of melted chocolate on each red M&M and place one at the tip of each brownie slice to serve as the nose.
  8. Set and Serve: Let the chocolate set completely to secure all decorations before serving. Enjoy your festive reindeer brownies!

Notes

  • Store brownies tightly covered or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • If stacking brownies, separate each layer with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
  • For longer storage, refrigerate the brownies for up to 1 week.
  • To achieve the cleanest slices, chill the brownies in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before cutting and use a sharp chef’s knife, wiping it clean between cuts.
