Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9-inch pie pan with cooking spray. You can also use a cast iron skillet or ceramic baking dish between 8-9 inches that’s oven-safe.
- Mix Cream Cheese Base: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended.
- Spread Cream Cheese Mixture: Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom of the prepared pie pan, creating a smooth base layer.
- Add Marinara Sauce and Cheese: Spoon the marinara sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer. Then sprinkle 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese and all of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the marinara sauce.
- Layer Pepperoni: Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the mozzarella cheese layer, covering the surface to your liking.
- Bake the Dip: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted fully and bubbly around the edges.
- Garnish and Serve: After baking, optionally sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley for added color and flavor. Serve warm with baguette slices, flat pretzels, veggies, or pita chips and enjoy!
