Description

This Peppermint White Hot Chocolate is a rich and decadent treat that’s perfect for a cozy winter evening. Creamy white chocolate is infused with the refreshing flavor of peppermint, making it a delicious and festive beverage.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 peppermint candy cane
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate and Candy Cane: In a medium saucepan, heat milk and peppermint candy cane over low heat, stirring constantly, until the candy cane is completely melted.
  2. Add White Chocolate: Add white chocolate chips and continue stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Flavor and Serve: Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract. Pour into mugs and garnish with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy.

Notes

  • Milk: Use your preferred type of milk, such as dairy milk, almond milk, or oat milk.
  • White Chocolate: You can use white chocolate bars instead of chips, but make sure to chop them finely for easier melting.
  • Peppermint Extract: Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to your liking.
  • Make Ahead: The hot chocolate can be made ahead of time and reheated gently on the stovetop.
  • Variations:
    • Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
    • Top with marshmallows or chocolate shavings.
    • For an adult version, add a splash of peppermint schnapps or crème de menthe.
