Pasta and Shrimp:

    • 8 ounces linguine pasta
    • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce:

    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 3 teaspoons garlic, minced
    • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
    • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
    • 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Additional fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta:

    1. Cook the linguine pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season Shrimp:

    1. Toss the shrimp with 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper.
  3. Cook Shrimp:

    1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    2. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until pink, about 6-8 minutes. Do not overcook.
    3. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  4. Make Sauce:

    1. In the same pan, melt the butter.
    2. Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds.
    3. Whisk in the flour to make a roux.
    4. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream.
    5. Whisk and heat until the sauce begins to thicken.
    6. Add the Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, paprika, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    7. Whisk and heat until you have a smooth, creamy sauce.
  5. Combine and Serve:

    1. Add the cooked shrimp and pasta to the sauce.
    2. Toss to coat.
    3. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
    4. Garnish with additional fresh basil and serve immediately.

  • Use fresh, high-quality shrimp for the best flavor.
  • Do not overcook the shrimp, or it will become tough.
