Perfect for entertaining or a casual dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 1 pkg 12 count King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 2 cups shredded roast beef
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic paste

Butter Sauce

  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds or sesame seeds

Optional Garnish

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat the oven to 350℉. Spray a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray, or line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy removal of the sliders after baking.
  2. Slice rolls: Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian rolls lengthwise so the top half is one slab and the bottom half is another.
  3. Make and spread mayo sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and garlic powder thoroughly. Spread this garlic mayo mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer roast beef and cheese: Evenly layer the shredded roast beef over the mayo sauce, then place the American cheese slices on top. Cover the layers with the top half of the buns.
  5. Prepare and brush butter sauce: Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan. Add brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, whisking well to combine. Generously brush this butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Sprinkle with poppy seeds or sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake sliders: Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Rest and cut: Allow the sliders to rest for a couple of minutes to help keep the roast beef layers intact. Transfer to a cutting board and cut into individual sandwiches.
  8. Garnish and serve: Optionally, garnish with parsley flakes and grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Cheese substitutions: You can substitute American cheese with cheddar, mozzarella, provolone, pepper jack, Colby jack, or Swiss cheese according to your preference.
  • Roast beef alternatives: Sliced deli roast beef can be used instead of shredded roast beef for convenience.
  • Leftover storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to one month. Reheat in the microwave or bake at 325°F until warmed through for a crispier top.
