Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak (or strip steak, tenderloin, or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Sear Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Pat steak bites dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Add steak bites to the hot skillet and cook for 2 minutes without stirring, allowing them to sear and brown. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes, or until golden brown. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Make Garlic Butter: Transfer steak bites to a plate. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Combine and Serve: Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites and toss to coat. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Steak: Use your preferred cut of steak, but ensure it’s suitable for quick cooking.
- Drying: Patting the steak dry helps achieve a good sear.
- Overcrowding: Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure proper browning.
- Resting: Allow steak bites to rest briefly after cooking for optimal tenderness.
- Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave.
