Description

This Easy Beef and Noodles recipe is a comforting and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a quick weeknight meal. Tender egg noodles are coated in a rich gravy with ground beef and a hint of Italian seasoning.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook Noodles: Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown Beef and Sauté Onions: While the noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and chopped onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add Seasonings: Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Make Gravy: Sprinkle flour into the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring until smooth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until the gravy thickens to your liking. Add a splash more broth if needed to adjust consistency.
  • Combine and Serve: Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the beef mixture until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Customization: This recipe is versatile and can be easily customized with additional vegetables, herbs, spices, or a touch of sour cream or cream cheese.
  • Make Ahead: The beef and gravy mixture can be made ahead of time and reheated.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
