Description

This Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread is a soft, gooey, and irresistible treat that’s perfect for sharing. Frozen dinner rolls are transformed into a delightful loaf, coated in a buttery cinnamon-sugar mixture and baked to golden perfection. Drizzled with a sweet vanilla glaze, this pull-apart bread is ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 frozen dinner rolls
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Thaw Rolls: Thaw 12 frozen dinner rolls. Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover them, and let them thaw at room temperature until they can be rolled out.
  2. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Once rolls are thawed and ready to use, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  3. Flatten Rolls: Flatten the rolls to about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Coat in Butter Mixture: In a bowl, mix ¼ cup unsalted butter, ½ cup granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Coat each roll in the butter mixture and place them in a stack on top of each other.
  5. Place in Loaf Pan: Once all the rolls have been coated, take the stack and place it sideways in the loaf pan, fitting them to fill the pan.
  6. Brush with Remaining Butter: Brush any remaining butter mixture over the top of the loaf once the pan has been filled.
  7. Rise: Cover and let the loaf rise for about an hour until it’s risen almost to the top of the pan.
  8. Bake: When the loaf has risen, bake it for 30-35 minutes. The dough should be browned where it’s exposed, and the loaf should temp out to 190°F (88°C). Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool completely before glazing.
  9. Make the Glaze: While the loaf cools, make the glaze. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-2 tablespoons whole milk, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Start with 1 tablespoon of milk and add more as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  10. Glaze and Serve: When the loaf is cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top and serve!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh, high-quality dinner rolls.
  • You can add other spices to the butter mixture, such as nutmeg or cardamom.
  • For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
  • The pull-apart bread can be served warm or at room temperature.
