Description

Bunny Bait is a delightful and colorful snack mix perfect for Easter or any festive occasion. This quick and easy no-bake treat combines the crunch of pretzels and cereals with the sweetness of pastel candies, sprinkles, and creamy white chocolate. It’s an irresistible snack for people of all ages!

Ingredients

Units Scale

Dry Mix

  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 3 cups Chex (rice or corn)
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s (Easter M&M’s)
  • 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles

Wet Mix

  • 10 ounces white chocolate (Ghirardelli wafers recommended)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dry Mix
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chex cereal, Cheerios, pretzels, salted peanuts, and pastel M&M’s. Toss gently to evenly distribute all the ingredients.
  2. Melt the Chocolate
Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, then remove and stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring after each cycle, until the chocolate is completely melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can burn.
  3. Coat the Dry Mix
Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry mix in the bowl. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, gently stir the mixture until all the dry ingredients are evenly coated with the chocolate.
  4. Set and Garnish
Transfer the chocolate-coated mixture onto a large sheet of wax or parchment paper. Spread it out evenly, then sprinkle the pastel sprinkles over the top. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes, or until the white chocolate has hardened.
  5. Break Apart and Serve
Once the chocolate has set, gently break the mix into bite-sized pieces. Serve immediately and enjoy this festive snack!
