- 8 ounces goat cheese
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Hot honey, optional
- Fresh herbs, optional
Instructions
- Divide and Shape Goat Cheese: Divide the goat cheese into 16 pieces and gently shape into balls. Place in freezer for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400ºF and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Coating Stations: In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten egg, and Panko bread crumbs. Add salt and pepper to the Panko crumbs and mix.
- Coat the Cheese Balls: Roll each goat cheese ball in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the Panko bread crumbs, ensuring even coating.
- Bake: Place coated cheese balls on the baking sheet. Optionally, spray with olive oil cooking spray for extra crispiness. Bake at 400ºF for 12 minutes until golden brown.
