Units Scale

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces goat cheese
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/23/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Hot honey, optional
  • Fresh herbs, optional

Instructions

  1. Divide and Shape Goat Cheese: Divide the goat cheese into 16 pieces and gently shape into balls. Place in freezer for about 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400ºF and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare Coating Stations: In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten egg, and Panko bread crumbs. Add salt and pepper to the Panko crumbs and mix.
  4. Coat the Cheese Balls: Roll each goat cheese ball in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the Panko bread crumbs, ensuring even coating.
  5. Bake: Place coated cheese balls on the baking sheet. Optionally, spray with olive oil cooking spray for extra crispiness. Bake at 400ºF for 12 minutes until golden brown.
