Chicken:
- 1 1/2 – 2 lb chicken breast (3-4 chicken breasts), boneless, skinless
Seasoning:
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cracked pepper
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/8 – 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- olive oil/oil spray
BBQ Sauce:
- 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Prepare Seasoning: Combine paprika, garlic powder, cracked pepper, sea salt, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
- Prepare Chicken: Pound chicken to even thickness. Pat dry, then rub or spray with olive oil. Coat chicken with the spice rub.
- Cook in Air Fryer: Preheat air fryer to 360°F. Cook chicken for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 8-10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Add BBQ Sauce: Spread BBQ sauce on chicken and air fry for another 1-2 minutes until heated through (165°F).
- Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
